Chemung Mine , Masonic Ghost Town & Bodie Ghost Town Chemung Mine & Masonic Ghost Town This ghost town and mine are located aprox. 15 miles east of the town of Bridgeport Ca. on a dirt road. From here we decided to head into Bodie via a back country dirt road which was a great drive. It was 20 miles of a fairly good road, but with scenery you don't normally see. We traveled across a lot of high plateaus that must of been in the 9000ft range, but it looked as though we could of been at a lower elevation in a desert setting. Very neat....
Bodie Ghost Town, Ca. Elev. 8375 ft. Bodie is a State park and one of the best ghost towns around. There are more photos of this area in another gallery.
