                                 Why use a Blimp or a Pole-Cam to get Aerial Photos?

                       Simple...  Great Photos that might be difficult or impossible to get any other way.   

The blimp can be flown up to 400’ high in order to get a birds eye view; however, most of the time this is only necessary when getting scenery and landscape photos.  The real beauty of this rig is that I can get a high quality photo in the 50’ to 150’ range.   When shooting a high-end piece of real estate or a business it is better to be lower than higher.  If you want a view looking straight down, then you might as well use a satellite image that is available on the internet.  With these photos you can see the location that was photographed up close and still have a view of the rest of the neighborhood and, more importantly, the horizon and sky.   Having the sky in a photo is a big factor in transforming an aerial photograph from that of being just an informational device that looks like a blueprint or map.  Aerial photos that include the sky and horizon have a much more pleasing look, similar to what you find in most art photos showing landscapes.

For times when using a blimp is not applicable, or for a more affordable photo shoot, the full camera rig can be attached to a telescoping mast that goes up to 30’.
